What the hell is the difference between FREE and PRO versions?

The Pro version has more features:

  • Batch installer mode
  • Export App list
  • Already installed apps are labeled (if you scan your SD card)
  • Preferences to hide icons (more speed, less memory usage)
  • Support and updates

I thought it would auto install the apps but you have to push install and done each time

It is not possible to do auto install without confirmation on each app. Android OS does not allow this. Some apps has extensive permissions, so it is better for you to review they before you install an app.

If i install an app from SD Card do i still get update notifications?

No you don’t. Update notifications works only for apps installed by the “Market” app.

If I copy the app to SD card, am I able to use it from SD?

No. AppMonster does backup apps, not move. It is not possible on stock G1 to run apps from SD card.

What about paid apps?

Paid apps are protected. There is no way on stock G1 to copy paid apps and reinstall from SD.

Few free apps are protected too. You can’t copy them also.

I can’t copy an app to SD, got an error message. Why?

Is your G1 connected via USB to Computer?

Do disconnect

Is SD card not mounted?

Restart your G1

SD card is full?

Delete some files from it

You have no SD card

Buy one

What about yellow “stored” mark?

Yellow “stored” mark will be displayed once after doing backup.

It’s not saved persistent. I won’t consume resourses unnecessarily.
